Juan Dixon to be Inducted into Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame

Juan Dixon (1998-2002) will be inducted into the University of Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame at a ceremony in October. Here's the Maryland Press Release:
Men's basketball player Juan Dixon, former coaches Tom Bradley (baseball) and Cindy Timchal (women's lacrosse), football player Paul Vellano, field hockey player Carla Tagliente and women's lacrosse players Jen Adams and Sarah Forbes will be inducted on Friday, Oct. 5 at a ceremony at Riggs Alumni Center. Longtime `M' Club fundraiser Leonard Rodman will be inducted for meritorious service. [...]

Maryland's all-time leading scorer with 2,269 points... Led the Terrapins to their 2002 NCAA national championship in his senior season... Consensus first team All-American in 2002... Also winner of the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award... Named Most Outstanding Player in the 2002 NCAA Tournament... ACC men's basketball player of the year and ACC male athlete of the year in 2002... Third team All-American in 2001... Three-time first team All-ACC player... One of only eight Terps selected to the ACC's 50th Anniversary Team... School-record holder in career 3-pointers... Picked 17th overall by the Washington Wizards in the 2002 NBA Draft... Played in parts of nine seasons in the NBA for Washington, Portland, Toronto and Detroit...
