Drew Nicholas Wins Another Euroleague Title

Drew Nicholas (1999-2003) scored 14 points in the finale as his team, Panathinaikos from Athens, Greece, won the Euroleague Title with a 78-70 win over Israel's Maccabi Electra in Barcelona on Sunday. For the entire Euroleague season, Nicholas averaged 9.8 points on 44% shooting (42% from 3-point range).

Nicholas previously won the Euroleague championship with Panathinaikos in 2009, and is now the only player ever to win both an NCAA title and two Euroleague titles (three other players have won an NCAA title and one Euroleague title).

Nicholas has been an integral part of this team's success wherein he consistently provided help for his teammates when needed, especially with his role wherein he is one of the main providers of scoring. That solid core of players that make up Panathinaikos, coupled with having the best coach in Europe dictating from the sidelines, make this a highly formidable team. Hence, it was no surprise that a lot of critics predicted them as winners of this encounter.
