Nik Caner-Medley Signs in Spain

Nik Caner-Medley (2002-06) has left the NBDL, where he was Sioux Falls' leading scorer, to play in Spain. I first saw it mentioned here at Sioux Falls' Keoland Television News website:
The Skyforce took another big hit late last week, when leading scorer and first-round draft pick Nik Caner-Medley left the team to pursue an opportunity overseas.

Where overseas did he go? I found him playing for C.B. Gran Canaria in Spain's ACB League (Spain's highest pro division). They also play in the Europe-wide ULEB Cup league. The Google Translation (which I cleaned up a little) of the news release says:
The Gran Canaria Dunes Group has reached an agreement with player Niklas Caner-Medley to be part of the 2007/08 roster in the CBA League and the ULEB Cup.

The sports director, Himar Ojeda, stresses "the character" of the new player inside. "He's a very active player with a lot of energy and will add a lot of spark to our team," explains Himar, while stressing that "he is a left-handed player, a four (power forward) capable of putting the ball on the floor, and he has a good medium-range shot. I hope that fits well into the group and to help us meet our objectives."

This news release has a picture of Nik arriving in Spain, and here we see that Nik is settling in and playing well.
