Nik Caner-Medley on Detroit Summer Squad

Near the bottom of this sports round-up article in the Washington Post, it mentions that Nik Caner-Medley (2002-06) will play in the Detroit Piston's summer league team:

Former Maryland forward Nik Caner-Medley , who was not picked in Wednesday's NBA draft, said yesterday that he plans to compete with the Detroit Pistons in the upcoming NBA summer league.

"I felt I was one of the best 60 guys," Caner-Medley said, "but I don't think that is what the draft is really based on; it's based on need. In the long run, I don't think [being a second-round pick] makes that much of a difference" in terms of making a team.
